LIMON Waterfall from FROM LA BARBACOA

Departure at 8:30 a.m. - Meeting point: La Barbacoa (10 minutes from Las Terrenas towards Limón). ​

 

From Barbacoa, we will walk to the Limon waterfall. We will cross the countryside and Dominican vegetation for 8km (2h30) before arriving at the entrance to the waterfall park.

 

We will follow small paths, sometimes in the shade of the tropical forest, sometimes at the top of the hills offering us magnificent views.

After about 1 hour of hiking we will arrive at a first small waterfall and just above it is the Limon waterfall with its 45m high.

 

It will be possible to swim in the blue waters of the two waterfalls.

 

In the smallest we can find green clay and treat ourselves to skin care.

 

We will take a 1-hour break so that you can enjoy this magical and invigorating place before continuing our hike. ​

 

We will then continue walking for 1h15 before arriving at the place where we will take the return guagua (public transport) ​

 

For this excursion, it is possible to add an additional typical Dominican meal in a local restaurant or you can bring your picnic which you will eat by the waterfall. In this case we will add 30 minutes of break at the waterfall or 1 hour more break during the day if the meal is at the restaurant.
